The Project: Maps
Updated August 24, 2010
Interactive map - includes close-up strip mosaic maps
How to use the interactive map
*Please note that some stakeholders have raised concerns about the red dotted lines on the strip mosaic maps. There are two red dotted lines that represent different things:
- one represents an 800 metre area around the proposed transmission line
- one represents a site specific alternate route to avoid a residence within 150 metres
The 800 metre red dotted line is on both sides of a proposed transmission line route and is on the entire map. The site specific alternate route is a small alternate route segment attached to a proposed transmission line. If you have any questions about your map, please contact us at westernline@altalink.ca or 1-877-267-5973.
Existing 240 kV line crossings - shows the potential route segments where they cross existing 240 kV transmission lines.
Structure types and workspace requirements- shows the optional temporary workspace and additional required right-of-way for each structure type.
