Overview

The AESO has directed AltaLink to build a new transmission line, named 908L, between the Keephills substation area and an existing transmission line, named 904L, near Jack Fish Lake. 

Project Details

Length of line: between 11 and 14 kilometres
Line voltage: 240 kV
Structure type: Double circuit 240 kV lattice tower
Right-of-way: 55 metres

Project Schedule

March to December 2009	Notify and consult with landowners and residents
Winter 2009/2010	File application with the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC)
Summer 2010	Start project construction if approval is granted by AUC
Winter 2010	Complete construction of project
